The latest rage in America is "Trashing the Wedding Dress" after the Wedding day. This will make many brides and (Mum's) blood run cold. However it is not as bad as it seems, it is just a difference in phraseology between our friends across the pond, and ourselves. Their idea of trashing is very different from ours. So let me introduce "Trashing the Wedding Dress" UK style. As a professional photographer many great photographic opportunities on the wedding day are missed, because it is important that the greatest care is taken with the dress on the day, so as not to damage the it too much, and so it should be. However when the day is over what do you do with it, most will pay over £100 to get it cleaned then a further £25 for a nice box to put it in, so that it can be ceremoniously incarcerated in the loft to be taken out now and again just to see how many pounds the bride has put on over the years.
The alternative, is to come back from the Honeymoon with something to look forward to. That is a whole selection of photographs taken in places you just could not have imagined could be used, places where you may or may not wish to damage the dress but if you did it would not matter like it would on the day.
The above shots were taken on the beach, and in the sea, the dress dried and the sand brushed off no lasting damage, but wonderful images that will be the envy of all those that have not heard of it, or those who have, and have not had the courage to try it. Would you like to have wonderful unique images like the above in you wedding album, or indeed in a separate one. Of course you would . Be the envy of all your Friends and just do it , I am sure you will not regret it.
