I first met Chelsea Colledge when she was a baby at her aunties wedding, her auntie being one of the models I have used and had a great deal of success with. You must photograph Chelsea her Auntie would say and of course the day came when indeed Chelsea came for her first shoot.
There must be something in the family because they produce without exception very attractive offspring, and Chelsea was no exception. It was a tentative shoot because she was very young when she first came to have her photograph taken , but from the onset I knew she had something different, about her and I remember telling Wendy her mum that was the case.
I have now taken Chelseas photographs for over four years. Together we won a international Competition for contemporary portraiture from 16,500 entries over 53 countries and I had the privilege of going to London in January to collect the prize and to my surprise I also collected a prize for a portrait of her auntie Salley-Anne.
Chelsea is a great model to work with she has all the traits that I can see now in Alannah (the next blog).
She is a treat to work with and as I said to another photographer she is when it comes to images of her she is my strongest critique, and so beware any photographer that tries to photograph her and fails she will give him or her short shrift. Judge for yourselves.
So if you or a loved one or someone you know is looking for a portfolio to send to an agency or just to have the pleasure of being a magazine star for a while, contact me its not as expensive as you may think and they would love you for it.
