Great day with Lucinda Gamlin

As a professional photographer I do a great deal of portfolio work, and as many photographers will tell you, that can be an arduous task, as one soon becomes aware that the clients ambitions well exceed their abilities. I must say that I am very fortunate is so much as most of the models that come to me come from the same source, and generally, although their ability is excellent, they do need a little training and guidence. I am lucky with the models I use i.e. Chelsea Coledge the model I used for my success in last years SWPP contemporary portrait of the year and with Sally-Ann who I was equally successful with the SWPP in the environmental portrait section..

However yesterday I was privileged to work with a young lady called Lucinda. She was not only very attractive, but also was a trained actress, what an asset, we did not have a great deal of time, or indeed anything planed we just add libed the whole day. I have posted some of the results above, and considering this would be a preliminary shoot. I have just, pretty well published images with minimal manipulation and believe it or not they are not necessarily the best just a random selection.

I will leave you to decide from the above selection what you think. I can only say that in my opinion she has a great future, not only in acting but in modeling

Two great finds The first Dreamteam The second Mallorca

I will in the second part of this blog talk about the wonderful Island of Mallorca, however while we were there we discovered this wonderful young group of entertainers called Dreamteam, they were not only individually very gifted, but together they were truly excellent. They came from all over Europe, mainly Scandinavia, but their voices, scope of styles, and ingenuity, was quite spellbinding.

One can never expect too much from resident entertainers, but these were the exception. I would imaging that the budget for their shows was not exactly going to break the bank, but what they had achieved having been allowed what I would think to be very little money, well it was to be enthralling.

Their shows went from The Lion King, to The little Mermaid, I expect your reaction to this one is the same as mine was, but yes it was really good. In addition to these we had a tribute to Queen, very powerful, and a tribute to Abba , also a 1970 1980 1990 & 2000 evening, when we were all sitting around trying to remember who made that record.

They were a very pleasant surprise, and when we were told that they were the best on the Island, we could genuinely believe it.

So if you are on the island of Mallorca, and you find yourself near The Sea Club Alcudia, pop in and watch for yourself, I do not think you will be disappointed.

The second is the wonderful island of Mallorca, I have been privileged to have traveled to many wonderful places, never thinking of going to Mallorca. However when I visited the travel agents recently to check on tickets to visit my sister in Cyprus they had a last minute holiday to Mallorca on special offer I could not refuse so for the first time I was there and what a pleasant surprise OK the weather was brilliant especially as we had left behind wet grey miserable weather in the UK but no this island was truly beautiful and charming not too many holiday makers the locals could not make us more welcome and having hired a car for the week we were able to drive around the mountain roads without to many near misses albeit we nearly gained a few of the many cyclists that not only had a passion for cycling but on block they all appear to have a wish to die early. They control the roads they do what they want to do and car drivers have to avoid them, and if they manage to suddenly pull out with out any warning and frighten the s"!t out out of other road users they would appear to gain extra points.

Yes Mallorca is a very pleasant place to visit especial the mountain areas. The scenery , people and places to visit are very very worth while. Share with me a couple of the photograph that I took while I was there.
